Can anyone tell me the best combination to get a good compromise
between frame rate and good graphics (i.e. eye candy)?
Take the a out of neat to send an email.

I also set most things on, take the sky off, run in SVGA with auto adjust
on and set the intended frame rate for around 18-20fps. Same chip, and an
old graphics card (DS Video Vram 2Mb), and game works well. A good track to
test on is Monte Carlo.

Have fun!

I run all of the graphics exept the sky.  I get around 17 FPS on my 200
MHZMMX with that setting.

I've got a K6 200 (clocked to 225) with 32Mb SDram and gp2 runs great
with everything on except the sky in svga mode, I get estimated and
actual 25fps no probs.

slowdown.

GP2 flies with a 200MHz plus cpu!!!!

The higer the framerate the higher the reaction from your car
concerning your input.
Very good is to have 25 fps, but don't go under 20 fps this will reduce
the level of realistics.

-You should turn off all mirror textures (don't need them)
- turn off sky (don't need it)
- set the desired framerate about 2 lower than the estimated

maybe give some smaller details up and you should be able to have a Processor
Occupancy of <100% on all tracks but Monaco
