NASCAR WILL run under WIN95 dos prompt!!

by Lannie Schafro » Thu, 15 Feb 1996 04:00:00

All,

I was messing around and found out how to make Nascar run
under WIN95 by accident!

I had created setup files for Taledega without the Restictor
plate and with. I created a BATCH file that copied the correct
file and called nascar -h.  I ran it under Windows by mistake and
was shocked when it worked.

Go to a DOS prompt and type NASCAR -h and WIN95 will try to
shut down.  Go to a DOS prompt and create a batch file called
RACE.BAT.  In that file put one line: NASCAR -h, now type RACE
and watch NASCAR load.

When you call it from a BAT file WIN95 loads it and runs it fine for
some odd reason.  I had Wordperfect 6.0 and my Pathworks networking
running while NASCAR sat in a paused state in a DOS box waiting for my
boss to leave my cube! :)

Try it and let me know how it works for you.  My setup is:
486DX/50 16Mb RAM, 540Mb drive.
