ICR2 Slow Rendition FPS w/V2100

I was just wondering - I seem to be getting awful poor performance
with my new machine with the Rendition version of ICR2.  Here's my
system:

Stealth II/CL Voodoo 2 12 MB
I am running the new .exe file and using the old Speedy3D file, I
believe (I just copied the entire thing over from my old drive - I was
getting the same poor framerates with the old system also).  I don't
know exactly what the framerates are, but suffice to say that Nascar 2
renddma with the 8-bit graphics is real smooth for me.  In comparison,
ICR2 just does not look smooth at all.  I'm still having the messed-up
mirrors in ICR2 as well.
    Any ideas?

  Hi Scott.
There is hope.  Go to the Bjorn3d web site.  Get the v2kdos fix AND the
V2k_icr2 zip.
run the dos fix file.  At Bjorn's site..(www.bjorn3d)  [ITHINK!]  there is
a hints and tips section.   There are several fixes that get the Indyfast
version of ICR2 up and running and with clear mirrors.
btw, I have the CART version of ICR2 and after much hassle got the
faster version running.  with the slower CartRend.bat I was getting 17 to
22 fps at Bullrun.  With the Cartfast.bat I got 28 - 30 fps with track and
sky and everything turned on.  The 2d numbers were aroun 11-17fps.
now all I have to do is get my pnp joystick port to work in dos and I'm
cooking.

Did you get the mirrors clear in CART? I can't accomplish that.

Yes, just last night.  Go to the rendition website run by the Bjorn
guy.  In the hints and tips section are plenty of methods for getting
the mirrors going and several files you'll need too.  The mirrors are
clear, but there is a slight blurrieness off in the distance  now...I'm
calling that heat waves...

With your system you should never see fps lower than 30. Mine is similiar to
yours (75 MHz and no Voodoo2). I suppose there is no IRQ assigned to the
Stealth. (See the reference of your mobo) Putting it in the first PCI slot may
help too.
