Yep, no knowledge of F1.....a brain? The man died six years ago today, the
subjecy header is "Re: OT. Ayron Senna-RIP", it says, "Ayrton Senna da Silva
                                                    March 24 1960-May 1
1994", at the bottom. Did you read that far? Or are you

Watch your mouth smartass.
It amuses me how people will act so completely ignorant online yet wouldn't
dare speak to me that way face to face.
It was my mistake and that's why I asked politely if I missed something.
Which I obviously had.  Thank you to Phil for pointing it out. =)
If you want to make another comment like that then you'd better do it in
person instead of hiding behind a computer screen.  Otherwise shut it.

He was the best. May he rest in peace.

Now who's hiding behind a pc? I'm in London England, if you want to meet
then let me know.
What you said was a clear insult to AS. So you think that saying, "Am I
missing something?
", is polite? Lets see if anyone comes to defend you shall we. End of
agument from my POV, i will not reply to you again, it would be
disrespectful to the great man to prolong this thread in this manner.

Scared yet, Colin? :-/

Can you blame a guy for forgetting this day? Goddamn, I forgot it too and
I'm sure I'm not the only one. It was a *very* sad day for motorsport, but
do you have to start insulting someone for forgetting his death??
It's not like it's a holy day or something. <g>
Instead of letting Colin know what day it is, you start insulting him.

What a hypocryt!
Both of your replies are way more disrespectfull than Colin's first reply.

Thanks for killing off a beautiful thread that reminded us of one of the
saddest weekends in motorsport.

I asked "Am I missing something" because I couldn't figure out why someone
was posting an obituary to Senna 6 years after he was killed at Imola.  It
was pretty obvious that I didn't realize that today was indeed the
ANNIVERSARY of his sad death.  Absolutely no offence was intended, as it was
a simple question that required a simple answer.

You clearly think that it's OK to insult people.  Well I don't.  I don't
care whether it's on the Internet or face to face.  It's still an insult.
The difference between you and I is that I treat people with respect, so I
won't insult someone I don't know.

I suggest that in the future you think twice before mouthing off at someone
with no justification.  You don't know me, and as such you have no business
talking shit to me.  Some people need to learn that the Internet is not a
no-consequence environment and that insulting someone on the Internet is the
same as doing it to their face.

Just my two cents, and you got what you paid for.

I used to go to at least one live F1 race every year for the previous 20 years
or so before 1994. Haven't been to one since, and it seems to me that F1 gets
less interesting each year. The contrived title chase in 1994 started the rot,
still continuing through the narrow car / grooved tyre fiasco. FIA - please
bring back F1. It was never better than watching Rosberg fly around Silverstone
at 160mph average, or seeing a turbo flame out on overrun.

Senna is well remembered by most, even though he was as ruthless, or more so,
than Michael Schumacher. Every era needs at least one driver that is
controversial I guess. When Senna died it felt like I lost a family member. In
F1, the deaths of Clark and Villeneuve had the same impact on me. Prior to
Clark, I was just too young to know. The Greg Moore accident also was a stunner.
Sometimes it's nice to be just an armchair racer, risking no more than a
blister.

To Ayrton and all other departed racers - thanks for the memories.

Keith.
