Here's a blurb from the cdrwin help files.

CDRWIN is not capable of creating the "boot image file" which will be
written to the ISO9660 image file. However, this file can be easily made
with a disk editor utility, such as "Norton Utilities" DISKEDIT.EXE
(available for both DOS and Windows).

Before using DISKEDIT, you must first create a boot floppy that functions
exactly the way you want it to work when it is written to the CDROM. Try
booting your PC with the disk to make sure that it functions properly and
loads the correct drivers to access the CDROM drives.

sooo now my next question...is there a shareware equivalent to
diskedit???

Is this what you are looking for:

<http://www.NTIus.com/>

They have a 10-day trial during which you can use their software.  I
have used it to burn an ISO copy of FreeBSD 4.3 which is bootable.
Should work for you.

Another question--are you burning an ISO image of something already
bootable, or trying to create a CD of various things, but which can also
be booted?

What I'm trying to do is create a self booting cdrom to try and reflash my
cmos bios.  I screwed it up and I also had previously disabled the floppy
seek AND removed the floppy from the boot sequence.(dumb I know..but at the
time I had a reason...I just hadn't put things back when I blew the bios up)
So I have this floppy with an automatic flasher utility
and I want to create a cdrom that will take the place of the floppy.  FWIW I
don't think this will work either, but the cdrom lights are the ONLY thing
that flash before the boot process halts.  So I'm trying it before getting a
new bios chip...which btw, is a new shape and most likely NOBODY but the
chinese motherboard manufacturer will have the part in stock...So I have
this $120 problem.  If I buy a new chip or buy a cdrom writing utility or I
buy the services of a flash repair website...I'll most likely end up
spending close to the cost of a new motherboard anyhow...(and thats not a
good thing right now)
So thanks for the link...I'll give it a looksee tonight..

(this probably made you more confused..sorry for rambling)
