Wheel loses calibration

by bluestringe » Tue, 23 Dec 2003 01:23:26

In the Rascar truck race my wheel lost calibration. It got all jumpy and the
brake pedal quit working correctly. I had to pit and recalibrate, lost a
couple of laps. I've been doing some practice this morning and it's doing
the same thing, loses calibration after a few laps. What would cause this?
Time for a new wheel? It's a Logitech Wingman Formula GP.

First step James would be to pop off the pedal cover and spray some
electronics cleaner onto the pots.  You can always replace em also.

I didn't see any pots, just small circuit board with some plugs. I cleaned
them, but it only helped for a while. I gonna look at a new Logitech FF.

If you have a CompUSA around you they have the Microsoft FF wheel for 39.99
out the door.  Good price on a good wheel. I picked up one to replace my
Momo thats been givining me fits.  The pedals are 10 times better than the
Logi. I just wish it had a ball bearing xhaft life the Momo.
