ACP loses calibration?

by Brad W Trawe » Mon, 26 Dec 1994 08:17:55

Just got my Simulation Systems ACP last night..... I tried it
for about 50 laps and everything seemed fine.  This morning,
my brother and I started a 100-lap modem race, and about 30
laps into it the ACP seemed to start losing calibration - i.e.,
I was holding full left and the car would not turn.  And the
deal is, unfortunately I can't see that there is any way once
a 2-player race is started to recalibrate the joystick without
aborting the race.... my brother was slightly upset since he
was kicking my tail at the time :-)

So, two questions: (1) is the above problem something to do with
break-in of the wheel (i.e., has anyone else experienced this and
later had it go away), and (2) is there some way or some patch
available that will let me "suspend" a race, recalibrate the wheel,
and continue?  If not, I guess my race is just basically over
at the point that happens, which really sucks....  I really like
the ACP, but hope it can hold calibration for more than 30 minutes!

Thanks,
