There is a V2000 patch that just might solve your problem. I'm sorry, but I do
not know the address of the patch so maybe someone else can point you to it.
Thjough, I do remember that it was only a beta 9just like most patches are).
Good luck,

 www.bjorn3d.com.  get any icr2 files..like v2dosfix.zip and icr2_v2k.zip
check out the hints and tips section.
you'll need to make a batch file to copy a sp3d.uc file from a back up
directory after you boot with the included spd3d.uc file.  It's kinda
confusing, but once you figure it out, ICR2 will flat out fly.

ICR2 Rendition....Advice Please!

This could be the problem..I read a while back that the first version of
the rendition chip (1000)....( have the Creative Blaster with this
rendition chip)isnt compatible with the new v2200 chip from rendition...so
even tho u have a rendition chip the code written for ICR2 rendition is
only for 1000....The makers should have made the new v2200 compatible with
the older chip...I solved this problem by buying the monster 3-d and dont
have to worry about that stuff anymore........and by the way...3dfx
graphics for games totally blows away the rendition...i should know...i
have some games that use the same card and looked at the speed, graphics
etc of these games and 3dfx does a much better job with
everything.....Sorry about that ICR2 thing...i'd write to rendition and
tell them your situation and see what they say........Ciao...

Then why did Boot Magazine (5/98) rate Rendition's image quality as the best,
_ahead_ of Voodoo 2, Inel 740, and others?  Have you seen GPL on a Rendition
card?  The Rendition version's graphics are superior to the 3Dfx version's.

Bruce, if you still have troubles getting this thing to run, let me know,
I'll help to the best of my abilities (and that ceitenli isn't bad, yo
know!). At least I've got this thing working on my 'puter, and guess what,
I'm running all graphics on at 30fps! Smooth as silk. Remember to use the
DMA version of ICR2, not the FIFO ver.

Question, then: Does the "V2DOSFIX.bat" file which can patch nascar.exe
from NASCAR 2 to use a V2x00 chipset work to patch indycar.exe similarly
for use on a newer Rendition board?  No one has answered this yet.  Has
no one tried it?  All I've seen is a reference to an ICR2-specific patch
which seemed rather kludgy at best, with all sorts of "don't do this; it'll
crash" comments.  V2DOSFIX patched N2 beautifully, with no problems or
drawbacks whatsoever... so... doesn't it work on ICR2?  I can't try it
as I don't have Rendition version of ICR2 (and won't if it can't be
patched for V2x00 easily).  I already had N2, so that was easy to figure
out...

Ron, apparently the "V2DOSFIX.bat" doesn't fix ICR2.  I think it has
something to do with the older Rendition code that was used at the time that
ICR2 was produced. (I'm not sure about that, so no flaming please).  The
patch, which is available on my web site, is not difficult to use.  After
installation you have the choice of running ICR2 with anti-alliasing and
non-functional mirrors, or with functional mirrors, and messed up
anti-alliasing.

BTW, I am running a Thriller 8 meg PCI card, and did not have to use
"V2DOSFIX.bat" on my Nascar 2 files.  I assume that it's because I run N2
within Win '95.  With the fantastic frame rates of the Thriller, I see no
advantage to running N2 in DOS.
