Rendition ICR2 and Win95

Has anyone gotten the Rendition ICR2 to run in a Win95 DOS box?  I realize
that Papyrus doesn't support its games being run in Win95 (they recommend
rebooting to MS-DOS mode), but Nascar has always run for me this way.  ICR2
hangs after the Rendition Ready logo and leaves me with the colored dots at
the top of the screen.  This is the only game I've ever had trouble running
in Win95.  It seems strange that the old ICR2 demo ran fine.  I'm just
getting sick of having to reboot to play this game.  I don't think it's a
Rendition problem, as vQuake runs flawlessly through Win95.

Eric,

I cannot get ICR2 or VQuake to run in a DOS box.  My ICR2 results are the
same as yours.  My vquake results lock up the Dos session (Win95 is still
running).  did you do anything special for vquake??

As an aside, I still wonder if the Nascar 2 demo might nbot be Rendition
Ready.  It has beew a couple of wekks since I ran it on my Matrox.  i tried
it with my Reactor.  It looks identical to ICR2, crisp clear, stands full
of people, coulds in the sky, textures on the road.  I don't think I got
that with my Matrox, but I might be remembering wrong.

No, not really.  I did edit q95.bat to point to vQuake.exe instead of the
old Quake.exe, but that it really shouldn't make a difference.

I don't have the demo anymore, but there is a sure way to tell if it's
Rendition Ready (I don't think it is though).  Just run into the wall to
check for bi-linear filtering.  If it's working, the wall's texture should
be smooth instead of pixalated like it normally is.  You could also look
for filtering of the car textures on the driver info screen.
