I joined a VROC race at Monza today hosted by a guy with the initials CC,
and saved the replay. Watching the replay, I noticed that the host entered
the first Lesmo curve at full speed riding the guardrail around the curve.
He did this for all the laps. Not a very nice thing to do I think.

I've seen it many times myself. I posted a similar message to yours some
time ago and after discussion we all agrred that generally it's best to
run "Pro" level races to avoid stuff like this.

Cheers!

Don't go into Novice races where there is no damge.  That kinda stuff happens
when you do. Even better make sure it's a race where they can't shift-r...when
they crash it's the end of the race for them.

Yeah i had that happen.  I forget the fellows name.  He drove a murasama and
his excuse was it was his first time in the car.  After Q was over, he just
did a random order so he would be first, all his times were 35's, mine was a
low 29 (in the brabham).  Then on the start, i heard him speed shifting
right next to me but i stayed next to him and then into turn one he cut
right in front of me flat out and drove along the guardrail, i caught him
again going into lesmo where he did the same thing and then in lesmo 2, he
swerved into the bushes and spun across the track taking out the whole field
of cars.  What was worse is there was no sorry or anything, it was like a
normal thing for him to do.  He didnt see what was wrong with being such a
moron.  I just hope that they all are found and a list is made of all the
"bad" ones.

Why not race with damage on then?  Take care of that problem real quick....

Some people are just bad sports. I've seen this, but they are usually not very
fast.

You wonder why he ever bothered to buy the sim in the first place!

Doesn't always work:
Had a pro race at mexico nad one Ferrari kept riding the rail at the
final corner for the whole race, and still finished the race without
damage!

During the Coventry spec races last weekend I was having a great dice with a
guy, I was taking the inside line at each corner and driving reasonably
cleanly, and he was stuck behind me for about 2 laps.  At the Lesmo 1 he
took the rail option to get by.  This is fine - if he felt the need that
badly - but I would have preferred some real passing moves, just coz it was
fun!  Incidentally, I wasn't holding him up, we were about the same speed,
dicing for 2nd IIRC.  He got enough of a buffer with this move that in the
remaining lap or two I couldn't catch up again to try to pass.  Pity.

After the race his comment was "couldn't pass you, had to use the rail".  If
he couldn't pass me, he shouldn't have passed me.  Kind of defeats the point
of spec racing IMO...in fact defeats the point of racing at all!  Still had
fun tho!
