I NEVER use cheats but there IS a specific cheat that I would like to have for
GPL if anyone knows how to accomplish it.

The cheat would be a way to show my most recent lap time upon passing the
start/finish line.

Even though it would not be authentic it would not disturb the sim feel to me
at all.

Anybody else like to see this implemeted?

I think it's a bit problematic, as the pit boards come up before you
cross the start/finish line. Nurburgring, I understand, does show
"simultaneous" lap times, though I haven't gotten that far yet. Of
course, you start your first lap past the start/finish line, so you
won't get a time till your second time round.

Yes ,there is a way to do it,and someone has already post it here on ras for
the demo monza track.
In the tracks folder ,on each track folder there's a file called track.ini
where there is a parameter(pitboard) with the pitboard coordinates.you just
have to play with them and place it after the start/finish line.I did it in
the monza demo and it worked perfectly.
Come on fanatics,give us the right coordinates for each track.
PS: in monza the modified coordinate was the "y" one.

Yes, I would like this as an option...perhaps to be discretely displayed in
some of that expansive black area at the top of the screen. I would also
like to see a speed display a la N2 (you could put it up there too).
Optional, and not authentic, but then flying around Monza at 300 km/h with
no steering feedback isn't authentic either.

Here's a hint... Check out your track.ini files in every directory found for
the tracks..

In this file you have this line :

pit_board = 9.0 3953.4 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board, dlong
LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

As you can see, this is the line to edit. I wouldn't suggest to edit the
rest... still..

The first numbers are the Latitude and longitude of the board (from what I
see where the board guy is on the track). The 2 other numbers are the
longitude when the pit board appears and the last is when it disappears.

Of course.. take for instance that the track longitude/latitude is took as
if you take the whole track and stretch it to a X-axis.

I wouldn't call it a cheat, it was posted several months ago at the Apex, I
used it for a while, can't recall what file was modified, keep trying-it's
out there!
