After clicking on GEM+2, initialising window takes 100 seconds.
Dial-up prompt pops up 20 seconds after initialising window appears. (I'm on
dial-up)
While in the game, everything appears to look normal, intro screens are
new...but race menus are GPL.
It appears that I am still in the 67 seasons with '65 cars. Is this supposed
to be?
Shutting down GEM+2 window leaves it minimized on desktop until I open
taskmgr to close it.
dial-up prompt still running at this point even after I closed it when it
first popped up.
I definitely do not have these closing and opening problems when running
just GPL.
Anyways... :-\

You don't really need to run GEM+2 to run the mod. You can use the
gplc65.exe in your GPL folder instead.

Yup. There are no tracks delivered with the mod. It's "just" the cars and
physics + some menu backgrounds.

Maybe you should try to sell a copy of F1C here for a large profit instead
of being a good guy and selling it for what you have into it.  Oh wait, you
already did that...
