GPL65 Offline dog car Online F1 Great Help!

by No Spa » Sun, 09 May 2004 11:28:14

I've looked a little for this but I can't seem to see why I have a
problem. I'm using GEM2 and IGOR as first released.  I set up a new
driver and he seems to have the rating of 3. When I use IGOR to run
online I get my Ferrari to rev well past 12000, has great grip and am
competitive.  When I use GEM2 to then race off line with the good cars
using the same driver, the car seems like it is on ICE and there is a
rev limiter of 12000.  It handles for ***and clearly isn't the same
physics.  What is wrong here? I don't know which GPL exe to use to run
it manually .

Thanks,

Jeff

Fire up GPL using GEM2, go into training and check you really are using a GP
car. A new player will default to trainer. Online the server is probably
forcing GP cars only. Hence the difference. This could of course be
completely wrong...

In your gpl folder there will be several exe's for the various engine
combination classes (FD etc) but the main two you want are gpl.exe for
standard '67 physics and gplc65.exe for 65 physics.

I put a shortcut on my desktop for these two & just run whichever one I
want at the time without using Gem at all.

Since I created a new driver for 65 racing I have to change driver
manually each time though, since the two exe's share the same ini files.
