MS FF profile activator

by Olav K. Malm » Fri, 02 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Hello,

I have asked this question before, but I didn't get any respone so here goes.

Are there any way to make a batch-file or something that starts a game with
the right profile activated ?

I am just too bored about opening up the profile activator each and every time
I'm going to play something.

Maybe  I should email MS directly about this......

I this the FF Wheel or the FF Joystick?
I must ask, because I own the FF Wheel and use the profiler for
abolutely NO racing game I own. None. Zero.
Always setup the keys inside the game, if possible.

IIRC correctly, SCGT didn't recognize more than the first 4 keys on
the wheel and that made the profiler come in handy. This was fixed in
the 1.55 patch.

You using some old games?

Oh, sorry about that, it's the wheel, though i do own the joystick too, but
hardly use it :)

I really can't see how you can play all your racing games with one profile.
Some games work with the same profile, but may requires one for that game only:
GPL, TOCA2 : Seperate axis, no buttons
SCGT, ICR2 : Seperate axis, "Q" and "W" for the paddles
GP2 : Combined axis, buttons for the paddles
MGPRS2, Midtown Madness, CPR, MTM2 : Combined axis, no buttons

No, I haven't downloaded the patch yet, but you bet i will :)

Yes, GP2 is stil the best F1 sim out there, and ICR2 is still the best CART sim

I still get a real blast when racing Michigan, please Papy, please give us
ICR3 :))
