Packard Bell - P166 with on-board accelerated VGA controller - the
manual (on CD) doesn't give you any clue as to how to disable the VGA
controller. I posted the same question here and immediately received a
number of responses.
The posts I received indicated that if the computer had bus mastering
PCI slots the system would recognize the new PCI video controller on
boot-up and disable the old controller. I called Intergraph on
Wednesday and installed my Reactor on Thursday - it works beautifully!!
Quake and ICR2 with the Reactor are great.
Today (Friday) I received an E-mail message from Packard Bell with the
same information - slow, but at least they did answer.
