Well F1RS finally arrived today in Canada (Thanks EB).  Picked up my copy,
full install with no problems.

Now for the catch.  When I run F1, I get no sound during the intro, no sound
or music in the menus (maybe there isn't any).  I hear the song play as the
race is loading.  Once in the race I get no sound at all.

Sound is working fine in Windows and all other games.  I must admit I'm a
little stumped here.  I have verified that my Directx drivers are all
certified and that glide drivers are recognized.

Configuration is as follows:

PII 300
64 MG RAM
Sound Blaster AWE 64 Value
Diamond Monster 3d
ATI All in Wonder Pro (AGP)
Janes Combat Stick with CH Pedals

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Creative's site and download the latest drivers for your card (which
appeared just a few days ago).  Apparently there have been a few problems with
DirectSound or something to that extent.  But the latest version has seemed to
fix that problem...

BTW, I am using an AWE64 Gold card myself and havent had any problems.

Thanks, for the response.

Actually I managed to finally fix the problem by changing one of the
sound paramaters in an ini file located in the CPA directory.  This was
posted on a FAQ I picked up.  Now everything works fine.
