F1RS Sound Problem

I have a PII 400 with a voodoo II video card and a soundblaster AWE sound card.
The software runs fine for the first 3 - 4 laps.  However, at some point after
this point the sound cuts out and doesn't return.  If I abandon the race, the
menu sound is still working.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I have
attempted to modify the configuration, but any combination has had no impact.

I would suggest you change Default WAVX2 to WAVPW but it sounds like maybe
you have already tried that, changing this setting worked well for my sound
problems. Good Luck!
