New STB Drivers are out

by RWF0 » Fri, 30 Jan 1998 04:00:00

The new drivers sound great!  One problem though--  I D/L them and "tried"
installing them.  I browsed over to the directory I had them in and all it
would show is the TV out driver.  I tried this several different times and
several different ways all to no avail.  After about an hour of screwin around
and then another hour of fixing things back (Whewww) I got my computer where I
could see it and use the mouse again.  What a pain in the a__ windows is
without a mouse!
At any rate what am I doing wrong?  I've updated video drivers before.  It was
pretty straight forward.  Tell the computer where they were and clikck OK then
restart for effects to take place.  Not this time...  Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
Sounds kind of odd I am sure you probably know this but, do you have show
all files checked in window? If not open any window ( like my computer) go
to View/Options / View and be sure show all files is checked. Also here is
a link to STB FAQ on how to load drivers properly.

I am not sure which version of windows you have but if your using the STB
it must be the osr2. I have had some trouble with their Vision98 in the
past so I dont use it. Are you using it? I just DLed their drivers the
V128_132.Zip this doesn't include the Vision interface. Retry as it is much
better than the 1.21 drivers. Good Luck, Mike
