Ive just installed this patch so I can get the lap info displayed on screen
as seen on TV, but when I goto the race I cant see anything, how does one
get the lap info to display itself? Thanks.

Are you executing GPxPatchC.exe" -x:gp3.exe or something like it?  Also
there are some options in the console for GPxLap and GPxSAT that seem to
turn the display option on. You need to run the patch either from the
command line or via the console then execute GP3 for the changes to take
effect.

This has to be the most kick ass patch I've seen yet.  It rivals GPLShift
for the ability to hack a programs memory to make things happen.

Also make sure 'Show in***pit' is selected under the GPxSAT tab, otherwise
you'll only get the feature from external camera angles.

I had problems with this patch at first as well, because I had it
installed in th wrong location(s).  Make sure you install the patch into
your GP3 directory.  (ie - c:\Program Files\Hasbro Sports\Grand Prix 3)

Then follow all of the advice given in the previous posts.

Hope this helps.
