1.2 patch won't boot

I installed the 1.2 patch for GPL but now it won't start. I double-click
the shortcut as usual but nothing happens. I've got an online race
tonight and I've gotta get this 1.2 patch working. Any ideas????

  Short-term start it with the run command. Choose start then run then
brose to your gpl folder and double clik on the gpl.exe.  Good luck

Hmm, isn't the main file still gpl.exe? How come you have to make a new
shortcut, then?

Hm, maybe you got the leaked beta of the patch. The beta expires on Oct
1. Make sure you got the offical version from papys site.

Roy,

    Can you start gpl from gpl.exe in the gpl directory? If yes,then delete
the shortcut and create a new one.

You guessed it, Ivo. I still had the beta 1.2 patch in my download folder. I
also had the official papy patch in the same folder but I unzipped the beta
and installed it without seeing the other, papyrus, patch. All is well, now,
all is well. Thanks Ivo, and thanks to the other people who offered their
suggestions.
