N@ questions: Memory and locking up?

by Glee » Tue, 10 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi,

I just bought Nascar2 today along with two 8MB Simms (2x32).  I am
adding it to a P120 with two 3MB simms (am not sure of 2x32 or 36?).
The problem is that Nascar2 locks up almost every race in Win95.  Is
this normal?

Could it be that I have mixed memory types, or does it not matter as
long as they are in pairs? (parity vs. non-parity?).  How do I tell
what my old simms are?  The manual doesn't help.

thanks,
Rich

If you can mix 2x32 and 2x36, your machine is probably rare.  When I put a
2x32
in mine, it's as if it doesn't exist.

All the 2x36s I've seen have either 3 or 9 'chips' on them; and the 2x32s
I had
before had 8.

Hope this helps.

that i haven't had b4 in win95.  Is there somethinhg i need to do to
configure win95 or reinstall win 95?

thanks,
