GPL skid sounds

Hard drive crash(120GB) - lost *everything*, dammit. >:-(
I"m trying to rebuild GPL for a league race tonight.  I had a different skid
sound than the default, but I can't remember where I got it.  It *doesn't*
require any utilities to load.  Help!

I found that one earlier.  No, that wasn't it.  It was a lower pitched .wav.
Thanks, though.

GPL skid sounds

Eldred,

I think you are referring to a set of "effects" sounds I originally did for
GPL a couple of years ago (or longer).  It included new skid sounds (lower
tone), tub/chassis sounds, wind, etc.  This was at one time on the "High
Gear" website for download and remained there for a long time (might still
be there...I haven't been to High Gear in a long time).  I know this sound
package for GPL was very widely used and I think it was primarily because of
the more realistic skid/tire sounds.

If you still haven't found the skid sound you lost....email me and I will
put it up on my website and you can download it from there.  I also had a
system crash a while back and while I still have the GPL sounds I created
(but GPL is not currently installed)....it is in the full GPL sound.dat file
and that's about 1.6 megs....otherwise I would just email it to you.  I know
at one time Eagle Woman loved this GPL sound pack and used it
exclusively....so this might be what you had?

Regards,

Tom

Thanks, Tom - I found it.  I downloaded from several sites before I
'auditioned' them, so I can't even tell you where I got it from, now...
It wasn't yours(too deep) or Alison's(too high)..
And, I finished 2nd in that league race I was thrashing around for...<g>
