I've been working on a qual setup for Atlanta and I feel I may have
made some progress. I consider myself as a poor driver at this
particular track so not to make a complete fool of myself I'd be very
happy to hear your qual times at 70 degrees and no wind before posting
my setup. After all who wants to be laughed at because of posting a
worthless setup <G>!

Give me some times for comparison and I'll post my setup if it is
worth the bandwidth, OK.

Greetings,

Pekka Heino

Personally, my best is 30.244 seconds.  That was during practice, but
still within the first 2 laps,
so it's borderline as to whether or not that would qualify good.

I turned a 182.2??....can't remember for sure.  Surprisingly this setup got
faster as my fuel emptied out and I had a little tire wear.  Atlanta is
very easy on tires so don't be afraid to bury your car into the corner and
squeal those tires a little.  This was how my times got faster.  I can run
180.5++ consistently.

I've managed a 29.524 with a Pekka setup I downloaded from E.T. Busch,
and tweaked a little.

Thank you all who took the time to respond. Some of you are qualifying
fast enough already so this may not be of much use to them but it
seems there are people who might be able to improve their speeds with
this. My personal best with this setup is 183,8xx. I want to make a
note that I personally consider myself to be a poor driver in Atlanta.

Here is the setup and thanks for Dane Johnson for his great software.

right for 184s). I used Ford-chassis.

Just checked my record at Atlanta, and it's 19.716.  That's over 277
mph average.  Hmmmmm, ya think?

Kali strikes again.
