Hi.  Has anyone else noticed that a 3.70 4th gear at Atlanta will
cause your oil pressure to drop?

I was running a 50% championship race (3rd race of season) when I
noticed the oil pressure was down to something like 40psi by lap 95 or
so.  I thought I could make it to the end but unfortunately by lap 130
my engine blew and I got a DNF.  Down to 25th in the standings.  Ah
well, still many races to catch up, but man at 100% these races are
tough!

I used a 3.7 since the ACE setup has this as its 4th gear but I guess
it doesn't take into account longer races.

Speaking of DNFs, I wonder if Papy will print the actual "reason out"
for human drivers instead of just handing a DNF in a forthcoming
patch.  Small point, but one of several annoying N1 carry-overs.
Having to go to 2 screens and save 2 files worth of post-race info is
an annoying new "feature" of N2, that and no laps led info. :<

        I blew mine up while leading at Bristol. Only a 20% race against the
100% opps. I had random failures turned on, and wasn't watching the oil
pressure....

I haven't raced enough to know whether random failures are really tied
to anything the driver does.  But I have noticed that alot of the
default setups bring the oil temps up way high, which then induce low
oil pressure.

At one race the crew chief reminded me to watch the gauges!
