Well I guess it is time to replace my PII - 300 - Voodoo2 Combo

I'm planning on buying an Ahlon 700 - Geforce combination. The local
computerdealer suggested to use a mainboard based on the original AMD
chipset (MSI), but I tought there were other boards which were faster. He
told me that those based on the VIA KX 133 chipset had compatibility
issues... Any comments on this ??? Is this true ? Any mainboard
recommendations ?

Also he sells Daewoo monitors of which I did not find any info about on the
net. Does ayone has experience with one of those ( 17" screen) ???

I recently saw a comparison of via vs intel, the intel bx board was
faster, way faster, until special via drivers were installed. Then the
bx was faster but not by a whole lot. Compatibility...could be a
problem But if you get a Geforce...don't come crying about getting
gpl unbroken...:)

The Daewoo monitors are very good for their price, nothing fancy about
them, but for the price, good value, is it the 712B or the older 710B ?

Either way, I don't think you will be disappointed, unless you're
expecting Sony Trinitron quality that is :-)
