Nascar in SVGA from floppies?

by Paul Smy » Sat, 26 Aug 1995 04:00:00

Hi all,
Does anyone know whether there's a way of convincing the floppy-installed
version of Nascar to play in -h (high res) mode ? I don't quite see why people without
CDROM drives should be punished for it...
Thanks.

The floppy version of NASCAR doesn't include any of the high res artwork.
That is why NASCAR -H doesn't work with the floppy version.

Hi Paul,

Sorry but there's no possible way of achieving this, simply because the
data for the high definition graphics isn't stored on the floppy disks (if
it were, the NASCAR package would be on around 10 disks I would guess) -
there are separate VGA and SVGA track files and car files, so you can see
it quickly adds up.

I think *** might offer a cheap floppy > CD exchange deal if you were
interested in doing that. If they don't, try Papyrus themselves.

Regards,

Mike.
