Why doesn't Papy develop a sim that is it's own formula. Ie they set the
design rules and let all you talented people design cars and engines etc.
Open source sort of thing.

Open wheeler of course.  With the talented track designers out there tracks
wouldn't be a problem.

Car designers could sell there cars for online racers.

Nice idea.

But the general public can't do stuff like designing cars, tracks etc.

All they want is a game to load up and play.

So, while it would be a good idea to have an "open source" game, i doubt it
would sell well.

Papy is waiting for T.R.A.C. to decide what cars and tracks they are going
to use first.

I proposed this sort of thing not long ago.  People think it would bomb.
Creating fictionnal formula (open-wheel, touring cars and stockcars) BUT
with the help of major licensing.  Like Ford Racing or Gran Turismo.
Similar to MS Flight Simulator.

It's ok to speculate, but don't write this like it's really the truth.

It wasn't a joke. :-)
I was talking about the Flightsim and Combat Flightsim series, not
Win9x. They give you the tools to change anything.
