Has anyone used a Sportster winmodem to connect with Nascar2? I have
one, and when I try to run Nascar 2 from windows 95, I cannot ever get
the modem to initialize correctly. I know that the Winmodem must be run
uner windows, so can this work. I am guessing that somebody has probably
written a short program that will drvie the winmodem in dos apps. Does
anyone have any ideas? I really want to race my friends.

even though your in windows nascar 2 is still a dos game using dos modem
drivers which the winmodem dosn't support. I suggest you take it back.

I doubt that. I have ICR2, and it comes with a true Windows 95/DirectX
version of ICR2 on it. I don't own N2, but it's by the same company who
does ICR2, therefore they must've used the same codebase. You can't forget
how to program something immediately after you've just done it.

They didn't forget how, the opted to NOT do a Win95 version of NASCAR2
(at least for this release). The only Win95 components are the
TEN network, auto update feature, and the install/uninstall. All other
components are Pure 'n Lean DOS.
