Just run it, hit the 'enable coolbits' option, and quit it. Done.
It does for you what you propose to do manually with Resedit.
This is the only feature of NVHardPage I use. I use Refresh Force 1.1 for
the refresh rate fix because, unlike most others, it actually WORKS on most
machines.
