HELP: GP3 - Backing up CD?

by KingstonCoffeeGu » Mon, 05 Mar 2001 22:39:05

I just bought GP3 (now that it's $29 in Canada) and can't copy the CD to
use as a backup. I've seen this discussed for N4, and tried using both
Adaptec and CloneCD, but nothing seems to work - Adaptec boots me out
saying that there was an error reading the GP3 cd, CloneCD just hangs
showing no change in the % bars after any amount of time.

Can anyone help???

Go here: http://www.gamecopyworld.com/ select "game index" link and find
grand prix 3 link then follow the instructions there. Don't forget to
download the "fixed" *.exe file.
Very easy.

I tried that with Nascar Heat.  All I got was a screwed up race list and
still
needed the cd.

It works OK with GP3 and almost every other piece of software I've tried
over the last couple of years, so don't worry about it!

Get tha latest version of clone cd at www.elby.de try setting the read speed
for creating the image at1x and try several cd drives if you have them, i
had the same problem when copying Opfor, and using a DVD drive fixed it.
