Guillemot is made of cheap plastic...and there is no shifter either....

Basically the ACT LABS is a REAL racing wheel, not a computer toy...

Of course, this isn't true. There is a built in stick shifter as well as
very nice paddle shifters. The wheel is nicely molded of *** and the rest
of the wheel is good quality plastic and metal.

I'm not saying that recommending the Force RS is wrong because it's an
excellent wheel, but describe the competition accurately.

Sorry, I wans't clear, by Shifter I ment the real thing even if you don't
use it in GPL, a 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 and Reverse shifter, where you can brake and
do 7-2 straight.

Frankly even if the guillemot is not made of shit platic you cannot really
compare the quality of the material used in both wheels....

This being said I really think that the act-labs is the best wheel around...

And you owned a Guillemot wheel for how long?

around...

It certainly is a nice product and it's nice to see that you are
enthusiastic about it. A good product sells on it's own merit without
bashing the competition.

All the top 4 selling FF wheels (MSFF, Ferrari, LWFF, and Force RS) have
their good points. A person could be happy with either choice. Also, none of
them are perfect.  I think the real test is which company listens to
consumers best and is willing to make timely improvements that enhance the
product's usability.

do either of these wheels have the tension filled action like the MS
Sidewinder has...tension, like a real wheel turning left to right?

thanks

Completely agree on this, try sending a mail asking for the guillemot
dimensions and check how long it will take them to answer...
I played with a guillemot for 2 days, and I sold some guillemot wheels when
I was working in a computer shop....we had a lot of returns on the first
series....Maybe it is better now though.

The logitech is outdated, they will release a new wheel "Soon" (Official
quote from Logitech) to correct the little problems they had with the yellow
and red ones....

Microsoft....well...I don't even want to try...so I don't say anything about
it.
