AI opponent strength

Can anybody explain how the BLAP and RELS values affect the AI.
I know that BLAP affects qualifying speed, but at Atlanta mine
is set to 30??? and yet the AI consistently qualify an 29.8-9.
As far as the RELS, will adjusting this also affect qual times,
or just testing, racing, etc?

Thanks,
Brad

BLAP (as you may know) refers to "Best Lap", and the
value set in the text file will be the average times for all
qualified AI.

Example: If you set the value at 30000 (30.000), then
the times will be averaged - so you will see about half
the field above, and half the field below this mark.

RELS refers to "Relative Strength", and is a percentage
value relative to the value set in the options screen for
the sim.

Example: If the RELS is set to 102, and the opponent
strength is set to 104%, then the strength of the AI is
effectively 106.08% (102 x 1.04).  :)
