Hello All,

I bought GPL as soon as it came out & I love it, especially with my
logitec FF wheel. I just have one problem, my voodoo2 card doesn't seem to
work with GPL. It works with all the other games I have, not that I want to
play them .....
The card is made by a company called Viewtop or Britek. They don't have web
sites anymore & when they did, the drivers didn't help with my problem.
Can anyone tell me about my problem? I'd love to improve my times but at 12
frames per second....

Please help, you can understand my frustration.

Turn Vsync off from the Voodoo properties.

What does Vsync do exactly? (if you don't mind the trouble of response)

I can't try it again till Friday, but how may I do this?

What vsync does is it matches the change of frame with the drawing of
the picture on your monitor. Your monitor, say, supports 100Hz image
refreshing. This means that the new frame can be put up at every redraw
giving 100fps, at every second redraw giving 50fps, at every third
redraw giving 33.3 fps and so on. If you disable vsync, your game can
also reach intermediate fps between these values, and free the rendering
buffer slightly sooner meaning that a slight increase in performance can
be had.

On my pc Vsync off adds considerable fps. With it, constant 36fps,
without it, varying rapidly between 20-30 (or something like that).
