Hmmm. I think I am at least *reasonable* at GPL (Spa, anyway - into the
3:17s now :-) ), and I don't hate GP3. I don't like it as much as I
wanted to - it's got clunky graphics, poor sound and no real advances
over GP2 - but I won't be returning it. As I said elsewhere, I'd give
it 75% or so, as it's a good game, but could (and should) have been a
new benchmark. GPL2.5 is what it is.

There is an easy mode in GPL... drive slowly! But that would probably clash
with your idea of fun, right?

I suck at driving GPL, but I love doing it. And I love driving GP3, too.

There is an easy mode: the basic trainer. And you can even race against
basic trainers by tweaking a value in an ini file.

AAaaarrrgghh!! i hate it even more-- i just did eau rouge, blanchimont, the
last corner at spain and the 130r all flat out -- thats impossible --- silly

No it isn't impossible Dan - it's easy if you've got lots of wing on.
All this stuff about "taking Eau Rouge flat" only applies to low
downforce settings. If you have low downforce then it's tricky to take
flat (but possible - villeneuve does it).

no he doesnt -- he and zonta both tried it last year and are lucky to be
alive.... its not really a downforce thing its more to do with the wieght
transfer forward when you let off or brake. This allows the front wheels to
get round without massive understeer--- I dont think an F1 car with almost
full wing would do the 130r flat.....
