isn't there some sort of faq, or troubleshooting files available out there
somewhere >?
seems as though I had seen this in here before.... but never paid any
attention, as I had no problems with it... now, though, I have a friend
who is having serious problems with the install, and sierra has given up on
her, after 6 or 7 tries....
I have been trying to help her out, but apparently she has something
interfering with it, that I haven't run into yet...
we get it installed, and when she tries to run it, it stops on the
papyrus screen, and just hangs.... this is in dos (from a win95 restart in
dos mode) mouse driver is loaded...sound configured just fine...etc..
but it just hangs there.... I know we're probably overlooking something,
but I don't know what...

system highlights :
p166
32megs ram
stealth64 vid card
soundblaster16 sound card
logitech mouse

full install of N2

anyways, if anyone has the collection of config and troubleshooting stuff
available, or knows where I can get it.... please email me...
we're having to do this thing over the phone....and calls back and forth
from Daytona to Atlanta, get expensive....LOL - thanks in advance :)

Chris,
A buddy of mine had a similar problem with N2.  After much grief,
aggravation, throwing of PC out window<g>, and LOTS of time on the phone we
reached a solution.  For some reason removing N2 and then going into DOS
mode (**not** a DOS window), and installing N2 from there worked fine for
him.  Also, the sound card configuration could be causing trouble for you,
but I'd try the DOS install first.

Mine did the same thing. It would just hang at Papyrus, I had to
reboot. I got mine for fathers day and called the tech help and
this guy was as useless as***on a boar hog.

months later I finally got a sharp guy that told me to go to dos and
run it. Ive been hot lapping it every sence. NO PROBLEMS.
I was told there was no difference in it.
