I just got my PIII 450mhz system. My vendor/friend overlooked getting the17"
monitor plus he ordered the Viper 550 card and was told that  it was 3dfx.
Nevertheless, I had him order the Diamond Monster 3d II cardand a Spector
17" monitor. I know that Voodoo III is here or almost here but I wanted to
stay with the older tried and tested card.

Heres the problem:

When installing NROS/Ten off of the NR1999 CD it crashes when it gets to the
Gateway track and gives me a "Transfer Error 106"
Sierra told me to contact NROS/Ten.

BTW, I have the new Soundblaster 128 bit PCI Card. NR1999 runs great !! Any
suggestions on installing NROS N2 ????

But anyways, sounds to me like the transfer error is either a bad cdrom or
the cd has gotten scratched.  Check all the cables and connections to the
cdrom and harddrives and make sure they are secure and connected properly.
Try loading other games/programs from cdrom and see if you get any peculiar
errors. If not, try finding a new cd of NR99 and see if it can be installed.
Try installing it off an older N2 disc and see if that works.
