N4 and Voodoo5?

What is the best way to setup the game for a Voodoo5? I can hardly play the
game in open GL(really choppy). And when I turn FF on for my wheel using D3D
the FPS drops to like 25-30. I have a Athlon 750 with 128meg if that helps any.
Thanks for any help

I have found that turning off AA and letting the card automatically select
it, helps improve the framerates some.

If you haven't tried the new drivers at VoodooSource.net
you should go grab them ASAP.  My framerates took a
huge jump after installing them.  Also keep in mind that all
of the lighting effects really put a strain on your system, so if you
can do without them that will help.

Bob,

You need to have the 1.04.01 drivers installed first, then install the
drivers
from the first link on that page
http://www.voodoosource.net/3dfx/files/beta8win9x.zip

It's described as being leaked drivers for the V5 60000, but they work like
a charm

them.

I'm using the newest Beta Drivers found at voodooextreme. They are newer
than the ones that you recommend and in my opinion more stable. I have tried
the ones that you mentioned.

The starting point for getting them is found here:
http://www.voodooextreme.com/comments.taf?postID=11717

There are some old 3dfx Guys working for NVIDIA now that have been working
on some drivers in their free time, if there is such a thing in the computer
business. LOL
