Somehow I doubt it. Tell me if I'm wrong but in GPL you cannot have a
crossover because of problems with collision detection. Ain't this why the
general concensus is that the Monza banking is a no-no?

A AI race at a banked Monza would be impossible, or at least
interesting each time two cars go over each other at the bridge.

David? GPLEA friends? Pretty please?

* Making a banked track is easy. I've done that.
* Making a cross-over should be possible (suzuka and all).
* The AI *might* have a problem at the crossover point, but shouldn't
* I have no desire to make banked monza.
* IIRC, Monza when banked had the track broken into two down the s/f
straight, which makes life easier.
* The way I make tracks, it will not be possible to have any objects
placed around the cross-over (so no bridge as there is now).
* Strange stuff might happen if you try and access the opposite part of
the track around the cross-over (which might be the case because the
'ceiling' around all tracks is 1000ft).
* To make banked monza, you would have to recreate the entire track
over, because it would be A Bad Thing to hack the existing monza to add
the banked oval.

If there is no spoon, how do they drive at Suzuka ?

Ok, first problem is out of the way :)
Going great so far!
Even if the AI had problems, no problem, we can still use it for
online racing! Great!!!
Another problem out of the way! This is really gre- ...
...
What?
Why not? I'll gladly pay you for it... are you for hire?
Ok, I forgive you. But only if you do make a banked Monza then :)
I don't quite understand this one...
Let me handle this.
Dear Mr. Cassidy, would you mind if we, being fanatic Papy fans and
all that, borrowed the Monza track for making it even more beautiful
than you did? Ok, thanks. Phil, go ahead.
Seriously Phil, go watch the movie Grand Prix. After you saw that
movie, you'll surely want to make a banked Monza?
