Are N2 brakes and acceleration ON/OFF or analog? On N1 I believe the
brakes and acceleration were strickly on/off buttons(I could be wrong).
But I am curious does N2 support Porportional brakeing and acceleration?

: It depends on the controller you're using. If you're using a
: binary control (such as a keypress or joystick button), its binary.
: If you use an analog controller (joystick, wheel, pedals, etc) you'll
: get analog control (essential for steering, preferable for throttle/
: brake, IMHO). This is true of all recent Papyrus sims (ICR1/2,
: NASCAR1/2).

To add to this discussion. It seems that even if one has an analog
controller (Thrustmaster T1 or T2), that if the brake/accelerator is
fully depressed it then becomes strictly on. This really shows itself
under heavy braking. Even though Papy does not model locking of brakes,
it does to a weird degree. If one pressed the brake "to the floor" and
holds it there the sim will simulate locked front wheels. In other
words there is no affective braking or steering. In order to get proper
braking one needs to apply the brakes about 90%. In real life one would
expect to be able to fully depress the brake and then let off when the
tires begin to lock. I have played with manual ABS (pumping brakes),
but find that I get better braking in N2 by depressing the pedals about
90%. The drawback to this approach means one needs to start braking a
little earlier than the AI.

N2(and all of Papy's racing sims) only support "Touch response" throttle
and braking with pedals. Keyboards and Joystick buttons are not configured
to work with Touch Response.
