GPL increase FF in cornering?

by Jamie Clar » Sat, 27 Nov 1999 04:00:00

I have LWFF and GPL 1.2, I use the FF settings as shown in Allison's site,
however I would like to have more/stronger FF during cornering, what
settings should I make to make it happen, thanks!

Other question, is Watkins Glen in '67 exactly the same track as today? (I
drive SCCA F500 class and I plan to drive there :)

GPL uses a different (more realistic) way to center the steering wheel. It does not use the self centering spring
effect. Like in a real car, the steering in GPL does not spring back to center when you are stopped, but increases the
centering or steering effort force as you go faster from the gyro effect of the front wheels turning. If you are going
fast and enter a corner, the steering effort should not decrease unless the front wheels are sliding(understeer).  If
you want to increase the total effect, then increase the Overall Effect strength in the LWFF properties, or use a lower
number in the core.ini max_Force setting.

No, Maybe N3,  I am not sure if Nascar runs the same course as SCCA.
Good luck at the Glen.
Lutrell :-)
