Racing Legends update

It hasn't updated since Feb 16, that's 3 months ago. Surely they could
have done a couple more 3D Studio MAX renders in that time? ;-)

And Tony sure does spend a lot of time staring at that same screen!

If they want people to believe their promises, they have to show a
little more commitment to us than that. If RL is not going to have a
publisher, then the main method of selling is through their website.
If that doesn't change throughout development, except to show a couple
of new renders every couple of months, then we will go somewhere else.

I've kept open-minded about the whole RL thing since it was announced,
but it's getting to the stage where I'm losing faith. I hope I'm
wrong.

Well do so, and come back when its finished?  Whats the harm in that?  Carry
on with your life - if it comes try it, if it doesnt, dont.

All the best,
Ash

I think nick's point is fair. I read a thread recently with some fairly
frank opinions on this project, went to the website to have a look and
concluded, like nick, that the fact that they havent updated their site
since february does not look very encouraging.

So what?

Go do something constructive with your life instead of waiting for RL - and
when it's done, it's done.

The point is not to complain that a sim that I am waiting for isnt ready.
The point is to comment that it is odd that west feel that a website
publicising their forthcoming product with news on progress is worthwhile,
but not worthwhile enough to update for more than three months.

I think this is a perfectly reasonable point of view.  I dont care about
this game. If it appears, I will care if it's any good.

For some reason any mention of this project seems to elicit a
disproportionate opposing reponse, regardless of its merits. To
be posting such a response while also recommending a constructive
use of one's time is a bit ironic.

Would a new fuel can or an updated tire tread pattern convince you
there's actually a game coming out?

And you're starting to loose faith?

No a significant number of people will believe in their promises
purely on faith.

I'm not sure what evidence you're expecting to see, the url going
offline? Surely that will be blamed on sun-spots, network problems
etc.. nothing financial.

A signed statement from the Wests?  Surely that will be a forgery out
of Nigeria.

I'm affraid if it looks like a dead duck and (fails to) walk like a
dead duck and makes the same noise as a dead duck, it may in fact be a
dead duck without the medical certificate.

flame proof pants going on now....
