Running two video cards?

Running two video cards?

We got a P2 350 at Christmas with a Matrox G200 video card.  We've been
running GPL with limited success (we have the patch).  It runs around 25 to
30 fps and it's a little buggy (the groove is not smooth and the pit board
doesn't work).

My sons and I wanted to play each other over our home network, so we just
upgraded our old Pentium 90.  We went the real cheap route by getting a
generic motherboard and a Celeron 300a along with a Stealth II S220 4mb
video card.  The MB and CPU together were only $129, the 32mb of PC100 was
$45, and the video card was only $29 with rebate.  So for $230 we have a
machine that can run GPL.  The shocker was tonight when we loaded on GPL for
the first time.  We got 34 to 36 fps frame rate with this set-up.  The
Rendition S220 puts the Matrox G200 to shame (and we haven't even
overclocked the Celeron 300a).

My question is: Can we add the S220 PCI card to our new machine that already
has the AGP G200 card?  If so, how do we choose which video card will be
used?  Or should we just get the S220 and throw away the Matrox card?

Thanks,
Glenn

Get a 3Dfx Voodoo II. It runs GPL very good, slightly slower than an 8 Mb
Rendition, but still very good. They are quite cheap nowadays, and best
of all, it is a 3D only add-on card that works together with your current
2D card. This way you'll still be enjoying the 2D quality of your Matrox
(best in the field for 2D IMO).
