New Radeon Drivers

New Radeon drivers are available at www.reactorcritical.com which supposedly
enable the smoothvision fsaa feature.
Thinking of getting an 8500 if the drivers get sorted. Maybe someone with
one can try these drivers and give th NG a report.
                            Cheers...

Phillip,

I have been using these driver for a few days. They are running N4 and GPL
very nicely. I run N4 in OGL and GPL in D3D mode. I don't believe the FSAA
is enabled yet with these drivers. I run my monitor at 1600x1200 though and
am
very happy with the quality. N4 I get around 60~70 frames/sec with all
detail turned
on. I'm looking forward to smoothvision but even without it I'm very pleased
with
the card.

PS: 8500,  Tbird 1.4,  512Meg ram.

I thought the whole point of the 6.13.3281 drivers was that they did enable
Smoothvision (FSAA).

If you know of a place that sells them, and has them in stock, and not
just on order, then please let me know.

Thanks.

I heard that CompUSA has them in stock. Of course, your mileage may
vary.

I think he's running at too high of a resolution for FSAA to work, I thought
it only worked up to a certain resolution with the Radeon cards anyways (?)
