Winmodem and NL

I am considering buying myself and my brother Nascar Legends and trying
to race online with him.  All we have on our computers are the
Winmodems that came with them, and I would like to try online racing
before investing in modems for each machine.  I have a PII-350 64M with
a VooDoo2 card and TSW wheel.

I ould like to hear comments from any of you that have used a Winmodem
for online racing.  If I understand correctly, NL is not as CPU
intensive as some sims(GPL) and uses different communication methods so
experience with NL would be the most helpful to me.  Thanks in advance
for your help.
