Problem with N2 Rendition?

by AKH » Mon, 11 Aug 1997 04:00:00

Go to my web page http://www.racesimcentral.net/~akh/simshop.html and check out
the Sim Shop FAQ. It sounds like you might have a system with 24 or more
megs of RAM. If so you might try starting the program with the -4
switch. Open your Renddma.bat (in your Nascar2 directory) file with a
text editor (or right click and choose edit) and change the only line it
contains to:
nasrend -4 -dma %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9

Now start Nascar2 with the Renddma.bat file in your normal way.

You can also try the non-dma rendition version of N2 Nasrend by getting
to your Dos prompt, then your Nascar2 directory, then entering
nasrend -4
ie. C:\Sierra\Nascar2\nasrend -4 {enter}

....Just remember to leave a space between the 'nasrend' and the
'hyphen' in either method you try.
ie. nasrend{space}-4

This is covered in my FAQ at the Sim Shop.

Good Luck (hope I'm right about your problem 'cause this should 'fix' it
IF you have 24 or more megs of RAM as I suspect)
