New Rally Trophy physics?

by jbod » Sat, 16 Nov 2002 13:20:23

Anybody tried the latest Rally Trophy physics (apparently available
from the RTRelay site)?  A few folks on the High Gear forum have raved
about it (including ThomasH, whose opinion I respect a lot), but I'd
like to hear some other opinions if possible.  I haven't re-installed
RT after my last system rebuild, and I'd like to know if the new
physics really are THAT good.

while.

What every happened to you.  Remember we were chasing eachother in the
Escort.

Here's a link: (it'll probably wrap)

It's less than 1Mb, which makes a refreshing change :-)

I'm downloading it now.

New Rally Trophy physics?

something like this:

Can't wait to try it!

BTW, Is there any way to get force feedback working properly with RT?
All I got with my MOMO was a chainsaw type of rattle... turning the FF
off in Wingman sw and adding some centering spring effect was the only
way to drive without getting my hands numb...

New Rally Trophy physics?

Hey, Dave -- how's it going?  I got tied up with non-sim stuff and had
a major system crash/rebuild/new computer purchase and kind of quit
driving for a while.  I'm getting back into it all now, though, and
just trying to get caught up.  Once the RTRelay site is back up, I'll
probably re-join our "competition" (and I'm trying to get a few others
interested as well -- I just got a friend hooked on GPL, and I'd like
to get him turned on to RT, too).

If you haven't tried the new physics yet because you can't access the
Relay site, this thread has an alternate download link that should be
active:

http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49756

Check 'em out and LMK what you think -- I still need to re-install RT,
so I might check 'em out myself this weekend if I find the time.

TTYL!

I have set the MOMO force level set at 50% in Wingman Profiler for Rally
Trophy, and at about 20% strength in the game itself. You really have to
tune it down to make it playable with the MOMO.
