Certainly helped the fps here, my system rating installed at 2 and after
reading the post in one of the F12k forums i gave it a shot and increased it
to 5 and while i haven't checked it with Fraps yet it's noticeably better
with my system.

there are some reports of ppl getting a good fps increase by going into the
config.ini and changing SystemRating to 4 or 5... see if it helps, might
need a reboot.

Yeah, mine has shown an improvement too. The installed rating for mine was 3,
changed it to 5 and got an improvement in FPS as well.

I've just noticed a reference to EAX in that file. does EAX get switched on
if set to 1? Why is it not an option in the menus?

I seem to remember having the EAX option selection show up during
installation.

There's a menu option called "F1 2000 3d setup".

This one is also started during install.

You can check the eax box there.

Must not work for everybody... Mine was at a 3 and I tried a 5... Same
framerate as shown with fraps. P2 400, 128meg, Voodoo3 3000, SBlive value
