I blow'd up!

Rats :(

Didn't even make it 10 laps.

The one track I have a damn good chance of winning at everytime I race
there, and I lost the motor :(

Oh, well.  There's always next week.

I know how you feel.

I was REALLY looking forward to this race. Had a nice practice. Good
qualifying. Unfortunately my car didn't come through the lap 3 incident too
well, and it couldn't keep pace for the rest of the race. :-(

Congrats to...Don Wilshe?!?  Effing rookie comes in here and WINS the damn
thing... :-)
Nice run, Don!

Unfortunately, Yours Truly screwed the pooch while racing for the lead with 3
laps to go.  Sorry, guys...  I thought I'd gotten *better* at this. :-(

I still dont know what happened to me. Somewhere around the front streach I
get hit from the left by the 18? car I think and wham, Im into the wall. And
I was running pretty good too. Then I got ejected for latency problems. When
I got back into the race, I couldn't save the replay.
Anyway, I was rootin for Eldred and thought that you actually had a chance.
Your line was as good as anyones. I saw Tim get taken out by a car that I
was avoiding. I knew it was coming. I think it was Uwe. Not sure. Once Tim
was out of the race, I knew that I had a shot.
Lots of fun and I look forward to next week.

LTB,

Sorry about that blocking.  I was all set to settle into some drafting and I just didn't think anyone would want to race like that to each turn so early so I got a little pissed.  My apologies.
:(
I don't think I blocked you into any turns but if I did,  I'm sorry.

Grub,

You may have answered your own question :)

If you were having latency problems, well, that's the worst possible thing
you can have in NR2002.  We've all seen it before where two cars touch that
aren't any where near each other.

I've had a car zip back 20 cars, nail me, and then zip back up where they
were.  It's maddening when it happens.  NR2002's collision detection is the
pits, really.

Tim,

Apology accepted.

Everyone wants to lead laps.  It's racing :)

Especially when you're at the one track you run so well at.

No issues in the corners.

The same thing happened to me Dave. I thought I had made it thru the wreck,
when the Sound Express popped up in front of me. I wrecked something in the
motor. After that, top speed was only 170 or so in a draft. I stuck around
for a while, but it was useless, so I quit. Besides, I would've become a
rolling chicane.

Yea, I saw what happened to you in the replay. I truly felt sorry for you.
:-) You were soooo close to getting by the accident and
then.........whammmm!

I also noticed in the replay that my hood magically crumpled itself as my
back end hit the wall (probably was the cause of my car being slow).

??????

It really, really stinks to have a slow car at that track and have no choice
but to watch the others disappear off into the distance knowing they are
having all the fun. :-(

I say we run Dega or Daytona again soon. Pleeeeeease Eldred? :-)

I was cruising along pretty well, had been damn lucky a couple of times
by missing getting caught up in accidents that happened directly in
front of me, and even led some laps.  Then, I had my first screen
freeze.  I managed to get it off the track without hurting anyone else,
and after two re-boots, finally managed to rejoin the race, but I was
four laps down.

I was eventually caught by the leaders again, but in the the process of
trying to keep from going another lap down, I tapped Steve (#18) and
sent him into the infield grass (although I don't think he spun as a
result).

Soon after that, I had my 2nd screen freeze, and once again, I managed
to get it off the track without hurting anyone but myself.  I rejoined
again but the car was too damaged to continue.

CRAP.

If you are refering to the incident on lap 47, from my replay I don't see
how I could be considered responsible for that.

Some awsome close racing guys !

Grats to Don Wilsche. Too bad Eldred didnt win this 1, that would have been
very cool <g>

Ginger - I watched the replay regarding our incident and although from my
replay there seems to be some warp involved I think I should have stayed a
bit lower exiting the turn, apologies again.

Cheers, jurjen
