Well at least you didn't wreck yourself like I did (very embarrasing).
At least I didn't take any one else out.  I do have a problem with
Papy's physics model when you bottom out.  In real life when you
bottom out the car just "bounces" off the track, maybe causing the car
to get a little out of shape.  At the very least when you lift off the
accelerator and slow your speed, the down force/g force that caused
you to bottom out should be lessened and you should stop scrapping the
bottom of the car. In N2002 when you bottom out it "sucks" the car
into he track and continues to slide along the frame rails until you
crash or spin out.  Also, you lose almost complete corntol of the car.
It's bullshit.  If you watch real races they bottom out all the time
and they even say that most of the time it is nothing more than a
distraction to the driver.

Anyway, Sat. I toched the left sides to the apron and when I brought
it back to the banking the car bottomed out, apparently my tires
magically disappeared and I slide on the frame rails up into the
outside wall which totally destroyed my car.

I was thinking that you made a slide through the infield and then right back
into the track. I was passing Jsimmons on the left when I saw what I thought
was a flash of your front bumper. Then it was me and the wall. Warp probally
played a role here too as my 'quality' connection was poor. I am going to
start the 34mb download of the replay and hope to have it in about 2 days.
Man, I wish I had dsl or cable or some other fast connection.

Dammit!  I don't have it.  I must have deleted the replay last week when I was
trying to clear some space off the HD... :-(

That happened to me last week.  I think it was last week... I couldn't stop
in time to avoid an accident, and hit something with the front of my car.  I
magically ended up with REAR end damage instead.

I agree.  The bottoming out isn't very realistic.

And I know exactly where you are talking about.  I think it's mid-way
between turn one and two, and with the fast fixed setup if you hit just the
wrong spot it bottoms out and the result is what you describe.  Been there,
done that :)
