I did get my G200 to work. Fortunately it worked off-the-bat.
I haven't given it a full test, but it did get 30fps. I think it was
stuck at a max of 30fps because my screen refresh was 60Hz.
(60/2 = 30) Just the groove graphic looks bad as documented
in the patch.
However, trying to get my system working with my Monster1
was really frustrating. I had to do a clean install of Win98.
I still haven't upgraded my SB AWE64 drivers from the
Win98 defaults -- I believed that was the problem and
am a bit hesitant to install the new SB drivers.
I'm using DirectX 6.
Make sure 32 bit Z-buffer is NOT checked. (Makes the card really slow)
My Matrox drivers are as follows (as seen from the Matrox Display Information
tab):
